Format "time out" error
A "time out" error has been experienced by many users when trying to use the "default" Psion format (from System). This problem results in the CompactFlash card being completely unusable (with no free space being reported etc.).
This is rumoured to be a problem with the speed of the cards in question not being able to "keep up" with the speed of the 5mx.
A solution is to format your card using a CompactFlash PC Card Adaptor or a CF Card reader, or to use Essential Disk Utilities (by Atelier).
